If we assume that we are the part of the SOLAR SYSTEM only or the Solar System can become CORRELATED in TOPOLOGICAL sense in SPACE-TIME REGIME and many STAR SYSTEMS become correlated then on can see whether the Global heating is a CYCLIC CHANGE on time scales.
However the main source of PHOTON FLUXES to our Planet Earth are just from our SUN,93 million miles away from us,then heating and seasons and climates could be locked up in a programmed space only connected to our Solar Syetem in affective sense.However some photon fluxes from other Star system are possible but might be negligible ,I believe.So here comes the THERMODYNAMICS( linear,nonlinear,reversible and irreversible)at display controlled by the laws of Nature and arranging the Forces and Fluxes for the earth and perhaps for the entire universe in their own ways ,unknown to man.All the laws of Nature known to Mankind is one thing but All the laws of Nature Mankind knows is another!
