Scientific observation:-

DonQ Post dated 24 Oct 2003:-

'In the past night we in the Netherlands broke a record. Never ever before we had snow and a temperature (8.7 centigrade below zero) at this early date (24-10). That only 2 weeks after we set a record of the highest temperature ever recorded (25 centigrade above zero) that late in October.'
