I was just up in Vancouver on vacation and got to see my first glacier. It was really fascinating. The pilot talked about how the glacier has been moving back over the past 20 years.

I suspect the planet is warming up. But, I wonder, does it really matter over the long term? It'll likely warm up in previously inhospitable areas. We'll all move North. '

With more CO2 in the atmosphere, won't plants grow more? Or algea in the sea? This should suck up the extra CO2, shouldn't?

>The earth is a very, very complex system consisting of billions of negative feedback reactions. Therefore, as negative >feedback reatctions go, there is no way that the human race, at it's present technology, could warm the earth 5 degrees >if it tried! The entire doomsday scenario of global warming is a hoax perpetrated by a large group of scientists and >polititions in order to affect political objectives. Will someone please do the math and tell me how much carbon dioxide >it would take to cause a 5 degree warming at the poles. Cause, its enough that most every >living creature in the world would be dead from suffication before 5 degrees change was reached! So until the oxigen in the atmosphere is too much >replaced by carbon dioxide for me to breath, I will not worry.
