I am refering back to your thought about black hole singularities. When you look at singularities threw General relativity, threw use of riemannian manifolds, although an ugly prosses of trying to get rid of althoughs infinites, you will see that as rediculous as it may, singularities are a part of the topology of spacetime and therefor are a part of the topology of our universe.
