Weyl invariance leaves the action integral unchanged, right? I suppose that if Weyl (conformal?) invariance is a transformation on the entire surface of the world-sheet, then that doesn't necessarily mean that it is invariant with time. So it may not be fair to ask what is conserved. What about the symmetry group for the Weyl transformation? Thanks again for your help, Dick. Mike.
