So far as I understand your presentation, I think it would be to your advantage to understand the principles of quantum spin, both bosonic (integer) and fermionic (half-integer). And the basic spin-statistics theorem at least at the Pauli-Baez level. This beautiful and self-contained little world of mathematical physics is not beyond you and I think will enable you to see some of the sources you cite in a new light.
