When I gave a press conference with the UCS to stop the deployment of Star Wars, it was not covered by either the NY Times or the Wash Post. Yet the fact that the system was inherently vulnerable stopped its deployment. With the Times on board perhaps we can stop him before we go bankrupt. It's truth vs. untruth. The most ominous theat I see is that as we approach bankruptcy, the Administration will become even more reckless and use weapons of mass destruction. After all according to the NRA the second amendment protects our right to own and use weapons, even when they are used in mass killings of innocent people. It is not inconceivable that this amendment will be reinterpeted such that our nation can defend itself against the 50 nations that according to our leaders need political change. We are already in a perpetual war. We have a professional army that will defend its right to exist and grow. With conscription, at least you had some critical voices from those who did not want to be there. Everything is done in secrecy, as the report outlines. One secret is how many otherwise supportive nations hate us because of CIA meddling. I wonder if they are all on the list of 50. The UCS report just touches the surface of the wrongs being committed by that family. I can say all this with impunity since I am already on their list. Maybe I can redeem myself by joining the NRA. But they would reject me as I am already in the UCS.
