The good doctors understanding of Hinduism is simplistic. He could benefit from some readings in Hinduism starting with the Rig Veda and then the Upanishads. All religions have their mythology. What distinguishes Hinduism from western religions including Islam is the emphasis on practice rather than belief. It is religious belief that is based on mythology. The fundamental Hindu myth is that god is everything. What you call different gods is merely the different names given by Hindus to different aspects of the same one god. Your emphasis on the racial characteristics of Indians makes me wonder if you are at heart a racist. Can you deny that? BTW, the origin if Hinduism is known now to not be Aryan. It's actually origin via the Rig Veda can be traced to the Sarasvati River valley 8,000 years ago. But it most certainly existed even before that. It might have been carried into India before then, but not by Aryans. It is more likely that Hinduism developed on the Indian sub-continent. But all that is lost in pre-history.
