I first would like to introduce myself to this board with an apology for I will not be able to contribute much if anything in the way of advice or help, but I come in seek of help. I am currently a high school junior who has run into a couple problems that I hope anyone on this board might be able to answer. What are some good books on string theory (without math)? I have already read The Elegant Universe, and have The Search for Superstrings, Symmetry, and the Theory of Everything by John Gribbin. I would really like to acquire a comprehensive knowledge on string theory so any books with anything significant would be greatly appreciated.

Another two unrealated questions to string theory are: can anyone post the link to a good complete site for general physics 2 (electricity and magnetism) so that I can study for the SAT II's. [We are not covering that in Physics 1 at my school so I have to teach my self within a month]. Secondly what are some of the top schools in the country for college physics? I want to be able to learn as much as I can as quickly as possible so i can understand things like string theory =).

Thank you kindly for any answers to the questions above, or just for reading all of this. I'll be around the boards and hopefully Ill be able to help out.

Sincerely,
Steven DeRose
