What I'm trying to do is be very clear about what we're looking to examine and understand. I'm sure you'd agree that if the core of your concern is only relevant for telescopes/mirrors/double slits of a size 1,000 km or greater, me working through an example of a 1 to 10m setup would be a waste of time.

Similarly, if the core of your concern is not captured in the double slit experiment, then working on that would be a similar waste of time.

As best I can, here's the double slit experiment:

We're going to look at what the image on the wall is, under different conditions of slits, photon source, etc.
