I believe a CAVITY design is possible alternative, the only problem is the transient nature of Tau and Muon.Proton and Positrons and electron beams are already available. The Proton beam colloid the positron beam is not a difficult task to do.But since proton decay never been observed before this experiment of proton-positron collider might be successful or might be totally ineffective w.r.t. energy requirment. But is an idea worth looking into. The more difficult is the tau and muon colliders with electron beam ue to transient nature of these leptonic species. However the cavity design for positron-tau or positron muon could yield some information about the excess mass in heavy leptons,if the annihilation takes place,I would expect the excess mass which is matter to produce some NEW PARTICLES after the collision and annihilation is completed. The electron =positron results are known, but positron-tau or positron-muon,due to excess mass and hence matter must give some thing more tha usually positron-electron collision results! It is possible,my prediction might to observe some new particles might be successful,or just might not materialized, but the question would remain:What happens to those extra masses which embody the tau and muon, and where do they come from in the first place and then where do they go after the annihilation?Does gamma rays and pion and energy content in tau or muon vs.positron differ compared to positron-electron annihilation products?I am a bit intrique with these thoughts on fundamentality of particles!
