From my ultrawave viewpoint, it is the connection of two particles or nuclei by a free W2 wave (force field string/wave rather than a particle string/wave). It is this possibility that presents a connection at the 9E+16 m/s speed and the possibility of communication at (9/2pi)E+16 m/s. This is because the waves always travel in circles and the shortest straight line distance is the radius. Still, the speed would be so great as to allow remote controlled vehicles usable across the whole solar system. Another important aspect is with SETI. I believe that any intelligent species that exists out there have discovered the ultrawave principles and use them for communication. Electromagnetic waves are just too slow for anything other than short range use.
