4 large dimensions

I just would like to know if there is anything, not only hand-wavy, that suggests that a universe with 3+1 large (unrolled) dimensions should be "nicer" in some sense than any other possibility, always assuming we have 11 dimensions in total. For sure a lower dimensional world would be more boring in that there wouldn´t be possible for life to exist. But what about higher dimensional universes?

I´m not sure what kind of answer I´m looking for, perhaps that mathematics seems to have a richer structure in 4D would feel nice.

Hope no one minds my rather unphysical posts now and then.
