Mr Ameen:

Thank you for your reply, but you obviously did not read my question. It is re-stated below:

"I think it is logically possible that alternate realities exist that contain forms of matter that co-exist in the same space and time as the matter we normally perceive, if we define 'matter' as 'that which cannot exist in the same space at the same time within one reality.' But is there anything in string theory that would suggest this?"

Definitions are whatever we want them to be, and this is why I added the caveat 'within one reality.' If we accept the definition without the caveat then OF COURSE two bodies cannot occupy the same space at the same time BY DEFINITION.
Your response is therefore trivial.

For your information, the 'laws of nature' are not written in stone for all time; they are constantly being re-written. This is called scientific progress. Our current 'laws of nature' are nothing more than statements of relationships in nature as we currently understand them. Einstein's tragic mistake was thinking that some of the predictions of quantum mechanics violated the 'laws of nature' and were therefore impossible. But one of the hallmarks of true science is fallabalism (read Karl Popper).

Your understanding of the philosophy of science is obviously elementary.

And what in the world does your horror story and God have to do with this? You give the impression of someone unhinged!
