email hack attack

hi all

I've been under email attack, recieving upward of a hundred unwanted emails every day. Lots of them claim to be from microsoft or someone at microsoft, or from some security administator or from some mailer daemon I never heard of. It is a nuisance having to delete so many, and I don't know if any of them might be legitimate. So I have set my filter to reject any unfamiliar emails. Anyone having a similar problem?
