Hi all. Just wanted to chime in with a notice I just got from Nature Alert, regarding the stringyness of solar processes, including sunspots, coronal flares, etc. Seems a polymer chemist got together with a solar physicist, and they found they had the same model for behavior of their respective study objects. Thought you might be interested, since it seems to fit in here in the discussion. I will try to provide the link below.
