Surprise to see how you figured that out that ENERGY can not catch up for FTL case, which law of nature would dictate that and in which mathematical realism? If two particles of equal or opposite momentum(imagine faster than light velocities)approach each other in opposite directions of same directions,if they collide in the first instance(opposite directions ones)then if the momentums are equal or unequal makes the different outcomes,w.r.t. Energies.Like an e- and e+ ,if suppose we manage to accelerate an e- to a relativistic speed while letting a e+ be less than relativistic speed, the collision will give result which you would not accept, like so called annihilation straight. How would you account for the excess energy of the e- with its momentum? Why ask some high energy physicist to try this experiment?I know you would say it can not be done!
