Where did you get F1 / D2 = F2 / D1 = (F1 + F2) / (D1 + D2)?

Basic adding fractions gives F1/D2 + F2/D1 = (D1*F1+D2*F2)/D1*D2, which can be reduced further since the two terms on top are equal.
